What a week it was! I had such an amazing time in France and the last week was so magical. Meeting other artists, learning beside this amazing talent and learning from two beautiful souls as nothing but spectacular.
The Manor was fabulous. The hospitality was phenomenal. The chef was wonderful. His food was fresh, tasty, and each dessert was so yummy. I wish I could have brought him home with me, lol~
We went on excursions, we painted, we gained business insight, we laughed, we ate together, we drank plenty of wine, and most of all we built some beautiful friendships.
The talent around the room was so good! The best part is we were from all other the world and yet it felt like we were all connected. I can not wait to see how far each and every one of these artists go in their businesses.
Cat and Logan both shared so much of themselves, I truly can not thank them enough for everything they provided us with. Their openness and willingness to help each one of us was great. I feel so lucky to have been part of this group for a week. We also had a bonus talent there, Adam was so great to connect with as well, he shared his story and talent with each of us as well.
I should also mention that Uptrek did a great job organizing and putting this all together! I highly recommend going to a retreat they put on. Their level of communication was high and they did so much extra work organizing a lot due to COVID. Check them out at www.uptrek.com.
I had never gone on a retreat before, everything I have done before was workshops or conferences. This was so much better as we really got to know each other. We stayed in the same house, ate all our meals together and learned together. I will defiantly look into future retreats.
I highly recommend you find a retreat to attend at some point in your artistic career. Either close to home or far away, a weekend or a week, it does not matter. I am now a believer in the beauty of a retreat. The learning, the friendships, and the chance to build up yourself.
Best of all it brought me to France and Paris, a chance to experience something that was not high on my bucket list. I highly recommend you place France on your bucket list! I will blog about each of the places we visited, but I never thought I would love it as much as I did. There is so much history (I am not a history buff), so much architecture (I love architecture) and so much art! And the food, SO good.
I am so excited to get my business moving forward again, to plan for 2022, and connect with everyone again! I will be forever grateful for this group of talent. Thank you for sharing so much with me. ❤
Happy creating, Jules
