I am a wife, mother of three, designer, blogger and photographer. I am an award winning interior designer and a certified professional photographer. I received a degree in Interior Design from Bowling Green State University. I worked many years in Atlanta, where I met my husband, John, who was working at Georgia Tech. After he took a position with NASA, we moved to Huntsville, Alabama. We both love our community and feel very at home.
I am still a very busy designer and CAD expert. I work remotely from my home office. I am always managing and working on several projects. I am currently working with local, regional, as well as international clients. I also volunteer my services for special projects. One of my proudest moments as a designer is when I won the Chandler Award for Excellence in Design.
I am a Certified Professional Photographer (2011). My photography ranges from portraiture to landscape. I strive to make all my photos fine art quality. I have been a photographer and still currently a digital re-touch artist for the volunteer organization Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. My camera is one “tool” that is always with me.
I believe that we all need art, design and photography in our lives. I have a desire to educate people how the power of colors and patterns in their life can uplift their mind and soul. I LOVE color, no a better way to put it is I am passionate about color and pattern and how they impact our lives. Light and color can influence how people view life around them. Watching people react to color and their emotions is more fun than just people watching. I have been studying and practicing mixed media the last few years but my real love is digital media and digital painting.
Please enjoy looking through my portfolio.
I earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission. The Professional Photographic Certification Commission (www.certifiedphotographer.com) is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals.
