Conceptual photography’s raw side and this is big for me. I’m not one to let my raw side show in day to day life or in my art process but today I’m going to show off this piece I’ve been working on. I am proud of this as it is my first time compositing a piece like this and with the detail of the hair and tutu was not easy. However, I learned a ton and can’t wait to do more.
At this year’s PPA Imaging USA I was encouraged to push myself further and to see what I CAN create. To be brave and enter some competitions and work on gaining Merits. Okay, so in all honestly this is something I would have normally NEVER done. I’m not competitive at all! I could really care less about entering anything of the sort. But listening closely to what some other photographers have done and how it helped them grow really resonated with me. I’m at that point that I want to grow and improve even more. I love the ART of photography and the processing of the images is one of my favorite parts. I love pushing the limits, okay my limits. J It has helped me with many design projects in my ‘day’ job and I can always learn more.
SO, in the next few weeks I will be brave and I will be entering a PPA Competition and we’ll see what happens.
